The adapter tool is used to unlock the Eaton Carter/Meggitt/Cla-Val Underwing Fueling Nozzles. This tool allows for the nozzle to be "disarmed" to accommodate field replacement of the nose seal, as well as repair/overhaul Underwing Fueling Nozzles, "disarming" nozzles to aide in nozzle screen checks, or even to drain a nozzle & hose for other fuel related maintenance work.
