Manhole gaskets are common replacement items. Weld collars are often sold separately from the manhole. A clamp ring is used to hold the manhole cover to the collar with a gasket seal between. Material variations are aluminum, steel, 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel. The manholes are offered in various sizes including elliptical 12 x 16″ and round 16″, 20″ and 24″. Collars must be fixtured during welding to tank to ensure they remain flat and round.
